Privacy policy
How Jessica’s House (“Jessica’s House”, “we”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The short version
- We collect what’s needed to match you with a lender, and nothing more.
- We share your application only with our lending partners and the lenders or dealers they match you with.
- We never sell your information to marketing lists.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
When you apply: your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address and how long you’ve lived there, housing costs, income type and amount, employer and pay schedule, a general description of your credit and financial situation, the amount and purpose of the loan, and, for car loans, the type of vehicle and payment budget you’re looking for.
Automatically: your IP address and browser user agent, which our partners require for fraud prevention, and the page you arrived on and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), so we know which pages are useful. We store campaign details only in your browser session.
We don’t ask for your Social Insurance Number, banking password or card numbers. Bank verification, if a lender uses it, happens on the lender’s or its provider’s own secure page.
How we use it
- To send your application to lending partners so they can match you with licensed lenders, and take you to your offer
- To prevent fraud and abuse, including duplicate applications and automated spam
- To answer you when you contact us
- To send you emails or texts, only if you opt in, which you can withdraw at any time
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and campaigns help people
Who we share it with
Payday and personal loan applications are sent to LeadScout, our lending partner network, which shares them with lenders that may be able to make you an offer. Car loan requests are sent to myAutoApproval.ca, our auto financing partner, which shares them with lenders and dealerships. Each of these organizations has its own privacy policy, which applies once they receive your information. We may also share information where the law requires it.
When you apply, you consent to this sharing and to partners, lenders and dealers contacting you about your application by email, phone or text. You can withdraw consent for future contact at any time by contacting the company that’s contacting you, or us.
How long we keep it
We don’t store your full application on our website after it’s been sent to our partner. We keep technical logs without personal details (for example, a response code) for up to 90 days. Contact messages are kept for up to two years so we can follow up.
How we protect it
Our site uses HTTPS encryption. Applications are sent from our server to partners over encrypted connections, using API keys that never reach your browser. Access to our systems is limited to people who need it.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser session storage to run the site and remember your calculator amount and campaign source during your visit. If we add analytics or advertising cookies, we’ll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@jessicashouse.ca. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
We’ll post any change to this policy on this page, with the review date above.
